Troy/Heron, Montana

Bad Medicine National Forest Campground, Rte 56 midway

Our opinion: Recommended if you'll fit

If you like soaring pine trees and deep shade you'll like this campground. If your an inch more than 40 feet then I don't think you'll get in, the road was tightest we've ever encountered. There are only 16 sites here and maybe 4 of those will fit a large rig. There are no services here other than water and trash but the proximity to Ross Creek Cedars and Bull Lake is great. We would have stayed more than one night but with no Verizon service it doesn't work for us. Cost: $10.
