Tiger/Colville Washington

Gillette Campground, Rte. 20 about half way between Tiger and Colville

Our opinion: Recommended

About half way between Tiger and Colville, Washington you'll find a cluster of small lakes with three National Forest campgrounds all on the same road (which is right next to The Beaver Lodge). The first and last campgrounds are too small for a big rig, but the center one, Gillette, is easy to get into. Most of the spaces are huge with lots of privacy. The camping fee is a bit high for what is offered (water and trash only) but the large level site and 5 minute walk to the lake makes it worth while. There was however no Verizon service. Cost: $16 or $8 if over 62.

We able to Kayak on two lake thanks to this waterway under the road. The swimming was nice too.
